I applied my materials to the objects that would tile, and tested the tiling effect using a bitmap of the roughness value from Substance Designer. At first I struggled to figure out how the tile pattern would work with the UVs, but after getting some help I ensured that the top visible part of the UV reached the corners of the UV sheet so that it would tile well.
Some materials, such as the palm bark, didn't tile entirely, so I would need to fix this issue by chaning the tile amount in substance designer.
I tested two floor pieces together and got a seamless texture, which showed that my UV packing for the floor pieces was effective.
